This is our ultra high-end model of UPRE (Universal pre-amplifier) series, which consists of a total of 8 tubes to make this superior performance pre-amplifier. The total tube rolling combinations have more than 1,000,000 possibilities. The first row of tubes use both 12AU7/12AX7/12AT7/ECC81/ECC82/ECC83/5751/5814A or equivalent + 6SL7/6SN7/6SU7/ECC32/ECC33/ECC35 as the front end amplification stage. This section contributes about 40 % of the tonal quality.

The 2nd stage also uses a similar set of tubes which can be used in the 1st stage. This section contributes around 30% of the overall tonal quality.

The tube rectifier can use a standard 5U4G or any equivalent tube, factory default is our STR-101 super rectifier tube which gives 20-30% overall better performance than the standard 5U4G.

There are 6 different ways to play around with the tube placement, you can omit some tubes in a certain section and the unit can still work without problem. This move can let you further fine-tune the system blending the small 9 pin tubes and medium 8 pin tube sound. This could be the world's first pre-amp which can have this type of superb flexibility. Any future products offered by other manufacturers should be just inferior copycats.

By using the correct tube combinations to match the rest of your system, this unit should easily surpass competitor offerings. With the ultimate flexibility in fine-tuning, the better your opportunity to approach perfection. You will find those other pre's in the market with their inflated prices can't give you any flexibility to alter the tonal quality. Their boasts of superiority seem like empty promises.

This pre-amp uses the purest "ORGANIC" design, no negative feedback, no circuit board( PCB), no transistors, all component-to-component hand wiring with very high grade and musically selected components. Fully balanced input and output capability as well as single-ended operation.

Now available is a super rectifier tube up-grade for the rectifier section. This super rectifier can greatly enhance the dynamics, high and low frequency extension, and bass punch. A stand-by switch for pre-heating of rectifier tubes ensures the longest operation lifetime. (Rectifier tubes are replaceable with high quality ceramic sockets installed).

Level 1 upgrade : (free of charge)

Output impedance lowered to 200ohm (can drive any input from 600ohm up to infinity) with better bass control and punch , better definition and improved in tonal quality

Level 2 upgrade : (+ C$500)

Level 1 upgrade + newly designed input circuitry for further lowering of distortion and increase dynamics as well as better air and openness . Enhanced components quality for better sonic reproductions with higher resoltuions.

Level 3 upgrade : (+ C$800)

Level 2 upgrade + Stronger filtering circuit as well as enhancement in components for further sonic enhancement with more 3D holographics soundstage.

Level 4 upgrade : (+ C$1200)

Level 3 upgrade + Enhanced transformer with 5U4G tube rectifier for better air , smoother and sweeter sound quality as well as improvement in sound stage

Level 5 upgrade : (+ C$4000)

Extreme newly designed circuit upgrade with super low S/N down to -95db, output impedance lowered to 100ohm, maximum input level increased to 10Vrms , further boosting of dynamics , no need for tube matching can also get most balanced L/R channel gain and sonic performance. Gain = x5 / x10 selectable. Enhanced components to improve resolution and details with even better tonal quality and air. With this level of upgrade, both specificiaton and sonic performance can easily surpass others pre-amp with almost any price range in market.
