| This is a super hi-end
state-of-the-art infra-red remote volume control , or single input and
single output passive pre-amplifier. This volume control has 100 steps of
levels which can control by an infra-red remote hand-held control or
manually by the push buttons installed in face plate. This unit has volume
up/down/mute function. The signal quality of this 100 step volume pot is
up to the highest standards, the attenuation of signal is purely by
resistor networks and relay contact switches, there is no integrated
circuit or solid state device to attenuate the input signal, so no extra
noise or solid state sound will be induced into the original signal, which
give out the most pure and precise result. This unit can run 24hrs a
day so you have no need to set the level again even though the rest part
of the system has been power off.
The chassis is build with standard 17"width x 12" depth chassis size, so that you can put it underneath any pre-amp or power-amp or CD player to remote control their input or output level. A pair of one feet high-end OFC interconnect cable will ship with this unit for connecting to whatever equipment which put on top of chassis. Even though the pre-amp under control has it own volume pot, all you need to do is to set the pre-amp volume level to 9-12 o'clock position, then leave the actual loudness control by this ultimate remote volume control. Lower photo shows the QA-001 pre-amp work with this RV-101 . The other advantage to use this remote control with your amp is that you can set the pre-amp volume control to slightly above the maximum normal listening level, then just control the output level by this remote volume, so no matter what setting is the remote setting, it will not exceed the loudest level needed. Standard input impedance of this remote volume control is 30Kohm, but you can ask for any optional value such as 5K/10K/20K/50K/100K/250K/1Mohm . We can integrated this 100 micro-step
