Using the 6SL7 tubes as the amplification, and 6G6G or 6L6G tubes as the output buffer section, this unit is also built with a 6X5 tube rectifier, which gives you the best price performance fully balanced pre-amplifier. All Hand-wired to the highest possible standard.

This pre-amplifier has a special Normal / slow switch feature, it can give you a very high level of adaptability to different types of music. The Normal position is more adapted to Rock, Pop and Jazz, while the Slow position is more suitable for Blues, Vocals, and Classical music.

The 1st photo set shows the newest i-look version of this pre-amp, ceramic white with crystal clear front and back plate, for those who want to match their white environment or white gadgets.

The 2nd lowest set of photos show the special version of the QA-114, which has a more elegant look combining both black and gold colors. Additional cost applied (add C$250 for G version).

This pre-amp can use more than 100 different tube combinations to fine-tune the tonal quality as well as dynamics and richness, the front tubes can direct replace with 6SN7,6SU7,6188, ECC32,ECC33,ECC35,CV181...etc, the rear tubes can use 6L6, 6K6, 6G6, 6V6, 6F6, 6Y6,KT66,6550, EL34, 5881, KT88, KT99, KT100...etc

The 6X5 tube rectifier can further upgrade by our super rectifier STR-104, direct plug and play without any mod required.

Level 1 upgrade : (+ C$200)

Special designed "Super-Drive" circuit, output impedance lowered to 200ohm (can drive any power amp inputs from 600ohm up to infinity) with better bass control and punch , better definition and improved in overall tonal quality. By adding this upgrade, it sounds like the output with 10 pieces of power tubes being installed . With this level of upgrade, just add another $50 and you can have a headphone output with enough power and current to drive your headphone directly.

Level 2 upgrade : (+ C$500)

Level 1 upgrade + Enhanced input circuit design with increase of max. input levels , further lowering of distortion and increase dynamics, as well as better air and openness . Enhanced components quality for better sonic reproductions with higher resoltuions.

Level 3 upgrade : (+ C$800)

Level 1&2 upgrade + Enhancement in components for further sonic enhancement with more 3D holographics soundstage.

Level 4 upgrade : (+ C$1000)

Level 1&2&3 upgrade + Enhanced transformer with 5U4G tube rectifier for better air , smoother and sweeter sound quality
