FAQ answers

Q13 What is the simpliest upgrade from solid-state system into tube sounding system ?

Ans : The most easiest and simpliest upgrade is to add a tube BUFFER to the output of CD player, DAC or solid-state pre-amp. This move will cost just a few hundred dollars but will give a very big step of improvement , typically the impact is about 30-40% by just introduce our BUF-101 into an all solid-state system, and up to 100-120% improvement with our BUF-103. The most preferable location to add this gear is CD or DAC output, but some customer also report big improvement achieved in pre-amp output, so the choice is all yours.

The direction of improvment by adding a buffer (assume model BUF-101) as follows

1. 20-30% more width, depth and height of the sound stage

2. 30-40% better air and details

3. 30-50% more richer in both lo,mid and hi frequency range

4. 20-50% more natural the vocal and instruments will be

5. 30-50% better instrumental and vocal separations

6. 20-40% more liquid the sound will be

Further improvement can be achieved by using higher model buffers. Please be noted that the above observation is only reference to our products, other commercial available buffer stage typically improve only 1/10 to 1/4 of our buffer can offered, and on the down side, they might degrade the overall performance in certain directions. While our buffer design offer overall improvements with minimal or almost no down sides.

Someone who never have chance to listen to our gears might think we are just hype and vibe, but if you ever talk to someone who personally experienced our products , they will agree the same as what we said. Our purpose of existing and keep building our gears is just a proof to the world that a single man can move a big mountain, as well as change the big name dominated audio world and make poeple awaken to see the king's new clothes.
